Here are some basic optimization tips:
- Website health is super important for your E-commerce performance. On your website, we want to make sure that it is easy for the customer to find your products for sale. With this in mind, here are our top recommendations:
- “Shop Now” page: It should be clear immediately to the customer where on their site they can go to buy your product. Be sure to have a clear "BUY NOW" or "Add to Cart" buttons and a clear path to the Shop.
- Shopping cart: Make sure the cart is visible to the customer when they enter your site. Our location recommendation is in the top right-hand corner, but anywhere obvious where the customer can locate it works.
- Don't forget to take advantage of shipping and order total discounts for your customers. Subsidizing shipping costs can help increase order volume by enticing customers to buy with low shipping costs for larger carts.
- Events and Tastings: You and your team should always bring a tablet to events where you are promoting your products. Customers can order your products right there - gone are the days when they had to carry them around for the rest of the event or you had to hope for them to purchase once they got back home.
- Don’t want to bring another device with you? No Problem! Hand out and utilize QR codes that link directly to the Shop site by setting them up on tables at tastings/events/bars etc.
- Holiday Promotions are a great way to endorse your products. Every month has multiple holidays as well as National recognitions for wine, spirits, etc. (e.g. National Whiskey Day). You could take advantage of this by setting up promo codes for your customer so they can get discounts on ordering for these holidays!
- Got any new SKUs coming out soon? Or a limited edition product that will be made available online? Make sure to notify previous online customers of new product releases! Remember to work with the AccelPay Success Team to set them up properly online so everything is ready when products get released.
- Don’t forget to take advantage of the marketing links in the AccelPay Portal. If you add any of these URL's to your website URL, it not only automatically brings the customer directly to the site and the product page but it also adds the product to the cart directly. You can use these for any upcoming marketing releases or for your Instagram, Facebook, or other marketing channels! Just go into the Portal settings, under platform and click the button to the page where the URL's will be listed out.
